Höfner Galaxie 176 1965 Greenburst

This is a very beautiful Hofner Galaxie also known as a 176 DeLuxe, made in the Hofner factory in the mid sixties. It has a rare finish: greenburst- . All the electrics are housed within the black scratchplate and the three pickups each has a tone wheel control. There is an overall volume wheel, plus bass on/off switch and on/off switches for ''discant'' and treble plus a four-way pickup selector switch and also a rhythm/solo switch - so plenty to choose from.
The bridge is a tune-o-matic adjustable model fitted with an original mute, and the tailpiece is a tremolo version all complete with the original arm. The bound neck is bolted on and the fretboard has full width fret markers. The headstock has a black front, the ''Hofner'' logo and the very desirable ''butterfly'' covered tuners.
This guitar needs to be refretted, hence the price.
