Mensinger guitars are made in Poland, Europe in a small factory that really cares about quality.
Only selected tone woods are used to build these amazing instruments. The best parts are used in order to make these guitars. They play great and sound really good too.
These guitars are made to order and we always try to have a nice stock of them for customers to choose from. You can of course contact us if you want to order a custom Mensinger guitars, but if you buy this one now you save a lot of time and the price is also better
This is the LIZARD model finished in beautiful Ziricote
This is Mensinger's version of a Super Strat in the same fashion as Tom Anderson, Pensa, Shur (and Pensa-Shur), Tyler, Sadowsky and similar guitars which cost way way more. Really amazing. This guitar is a total steal!!
The swamp ash body is a great choice for classic sound and it's lightweight too
The neck is also made from maple and there are 22 perfectly crowned frets on the beautiful rosewood fingerboard with traditional dot inlays
For the top a very cool piece of Ziricote has been chosen and it gives this guitar a really classy look complete with the matching headstock.
The whole guitar is finished in matt so the look and feel are really organic and natural.
We love the classic Wilkinson WVS50IIK tremolo. Super smooth action, very good tuning stability and great sound. Locking tuners are used and the nut is made from bone.
This guitar is really responsive unplugged but the good news come when you plug it in. This is in part thanks to the 648mm (25.51") scale length.
Regarding pickups, we ordered this guitar with a great combination of a handwound Häussel splittable Humbucker pickup at the bridge and the amazing Sustainiac system at the neck.
The Häussel unit in humbucker mode is super warm and full and the good news is that Single Coil mode (by pulling up the Tone Pot) is just as useful, which is not always the case with splittable humbuckers. The range of sounds available here is nothing short of amazing.
But of course the most special feature on this instrument is the Sustainiac system that allows you to activate it and get infinite sustain both for solos and chords. This is a tremendously expressive feature and once you get a grasp with it you will be able to come up with super cool atmospheric effects. Of course it's also great for sustaining forever the last notes on a solo as Steve Vai and many others did for years. And if you combine it with a lush reverb, a long delay and some tasteful use of the tremolo bar, you'll find out that this is a truly expressive guitar like nothing else in the market.
You get an on-off switch for the Sustainiac system, a Volume control and a 3 mode switch (standard-harmonics, harmonics one octave above).
To top it all, there's a Kill switch (push-push) located by the neck pickup so this makes is even more fun to play.
This is a great guitar for just about any style of music. All the tones that come from this guitar are really just impressive. You can get a great Strat tone out of it as well as powerful humbucker sounds and everything in between. We love it.
It weighs in at just 3.6kg.
By the way, Mensinger Guitars are not offering the Sustainiac option. We were lucky enough to have two guitars built for us with this system, but that's it.
Please note: the guitar in the video is the actual guitar you'd be buying.
If you are looking for a great sounding, great playing guitar that also looks gorgeous and doesn't cost you a fortune, Mensinger is the way to go. We are thrilled with them. 100% customer satisfaction so far. We couldn't ask for more. Order this guitar today and you won't regret it.
